    Folks

    What sort fo duties would some one in Admin have ??? I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I is trying to get a CV done for a friend and well I am stumped about the duties this role involves...

    any ideas ??

    Office admin? Network admin? Sales admin? Warehouse admin? etc.

    Network Admin :

    Creating and deleting user account/mail boxes
    Upgrading PCs
    Keeping anti virus up to date
    Keeping licenses up to date
    Installing and configuring new PC's and software
    Maintaining any WAN links
    Keeping documentation up to date
    Taking care of nightly and monthly backups
    Installing phones
    Patching cables
    General maintenance of Server hardware
    Network security

    Basically keeping everything IT related in a company going ...

    Ok how about these:
    Invoicing
    wages
    supplier management
    tax blahdee blah
    Time sheet upkeep
    filing agogo
    print management
    coffee machine upkeep
    shorthand knowledge
    pc skills - word, excel, powerpoint
    pc-anywhere knowledge
    Good staff management skills!
    know how to stick a stamp on a letter
    Microsoft Outlook trained.

    I am a 'sales admin'
    in other words - jack of all trades - master of none

    helping reps with their work if they have too much on.....
    exel sp. sheets
    estimating/pricing new orders
    I also work a CAD machine- samples/keylines
    (as I work in the printing trade, this would not be the norm)
    and some of what Gordie said........

    this type of job just requires that you have a couple of brain cells working together.....
