Brian Gewirtz was not at the Royal Rumble PPV or RAW this past week because he is currently serving a suspension after an argument with Paul Heyman. Heyman was also suspended from the creative team, but appeared as the manager for Team Angle and the Big Show.

Because of their separate ways of booking, Heyman and Gewirtz have been known to have loud confrontations backstage in WWE.

Neither individual played a large part in how the Royal Rumble was booked.
