    ok...... I think i see what you're saying. However within the law there are always a number of acts that bear higher scrutiny..

    In this case, no property was damaged. No-one was hurt. It was a disturbance, more than an danger.

    However, what happened in Shannon, stepped beyond the mores of such things. These people damaged property, and tresspassed.

    In most cases, Tresspass is considered a small thing whereby people are usually escorted off, with a wwarning. However there are a number of places where tresspass is more serious: e.g. military bases, research labs, airports etc. In these cases, the Gardai will do more than let u off with warning.

    The thing i find the most reprehensible abt these protestors, is they applied violence to their protest. I don't like Violence. If these people wanted to protest, then let them, do so peacefully. Theres no excuse for damaging property..... especially in Ireland, where the authorities are so open to protestors arranging demonstrations etc.

    Can you imagine what would happen to these protestors if they'd tried that against a british jet bomber, on a british airbase?
