hard drive there but not

    i just reinstalled win 98 and the second hard drive cannot be seen in windows
    its there in the bios .
    if i plug the hard disk into another pc its seen .
    dose anyone have a clue what has happened hear i dont know what it can be ? was there a problom that some hdd's could not get noticed in windows ?

    fat partition is fat 32

    what size is the HD is it win 98 or 98SE??

    and I presume the jumpers settings are correct?

    are all IDE controllers accounted for in device manager?

    As the lads were saying, check fdisk look for FAT16 or FAT32 to be sure and what capacity is your disk. Make sure that it is formatted correctly.

    You probably done all that but just make sure, often the mistake is something simple and overlooked.

    Try putting it as the primary master and remove the other drive and see what happens...
