I can think of a lot of reasons not to buy Tomb Raider 3. Because it isn't finished, for a start - Core wanted to wait for a spring release, but Eidos told them just to gloss over the bigger bugs and get it ready in time for Xmas. Because it's a cash in and adds nothing to the genre. Because the graphics aren't improved at all and starting to look really creaky. Because the artwork is so poor, my little sister could do it with crayons.

OTOH, I can think of lots of reasons to buy Zelda 64. Or Spyro the Dragon. Or Wild Arms. Or Parasite Eve. Or Xenogears. Or any of the other brilliant games coming your way.

Lara's day is gone. Her appeal was only ever to the spotty adolescent gameplaying brigade, and while the first game was good, groundbreaking even, the second was too much of the same, and the third is just rubbish.

I think all the Tomb Raider games suck.

Sorry to all Lara's fans, but after playing such an action packed game as Tetris, I couldn't return to the slowness or Tomb Raider.

But Lara does have a fine pair...

Well said shin and Kharn,Tomb Raider 3 looks and plays just the same as Tomb Raider 2,so why bother playing it as it offers nothing new.Core are just flooging a dead horse to all the sad little muppets out there who only enjoy the game because their looking at a bunch of polygon's in the shape of a bird's ****.What was once a new idea has so rapidly become a very stall concept.Time Magazine even gave Lara Croft an award ffs(and sadly this is not a joke).Think about it Mario,Link and Guybrush Treepwood have been around alot longer than lara and never got any awards off Time.lets all write in an complaine about it

I agree with Venom - Guybrush, Link and well, maybe Mario - if not Princess Daisy - should get in on the act. Princess Daisy was a babe - not her fault that technology wasn't good enough th make her pixel perfect at the time Mario was hotter than a hot thing on a hot summer's day.

If memory serves (and it rarely does), Link was the man. I remember spending countless hours playing it on our old NES *sniff* But then that really cool one came out for the Gameboy - that rocked <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif&quot; WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)">

And well, Guybrush is kool, but maybe I prefer Stan. After all, he is my life asurance salesman...

Just so that the record will be correct,Zelda64 is one awesome game and really should be played by everyone.Words just don't do this game justice so go out and play it.

i agree, but the n64 is appearing a bit aged now. i would go for a more modern game, like shenmue on DC, altho i havent played majoras make yet

I dont like old post being dug up either but i played Zelda and i didnt like it so sue me, i dont know why but i found it like most of the othe N64 games, i know they are all in spanking 3d ans stuff but they still feel very basic fo me.

Thats why i play P.C more advance, fo the HARDCORE gamer


p.s Played Shenmue, that on the other hand dragged me in, felt like a movie and was soething new and oiginal, i'm sick of saving such and such and the last boss of zelda was zzzzzzzzz

1. Chang and other dude in Shenmus they were evil (i'll inse name later missing at mo.

2. G-man and others from hl dont know why they just seemed cool.

3. Afred and alexia from code veronica. Oh and defitanlly Wesker

4. Bad guy in Time crisis 1 mad dog he was cool, like face off

5. Dr Robotnik Go dude he rox.

Bad villians:

1. Bowser, uhhhh 3 hits and he's down
2. Almost any villian in the virtua cop games.
3. Inferno
4. guy in zelda wha his name cant remember but he was annoying.
