    Our objective is to campaign for fairer internet charging by telecommunications operators in the EU member states: namely flat-rate tariffs - a single payment per month for voice calls and internet access by telephone modem or superior technology - rather than the per-minute tariffs levied to date.

    At the moment the site is set up so that the various campaigning groups, in several countries, can get together and talk through the issues via a discussion forum. However, more content for you will be produced as we go along.

    The point of bringing the campaigning groups together is that we intend to have an EU-wide day of action at some time in 1999. </font>
