I'm just recently a resident of Cork City (northside, Montenotte). No idea where the exchange is here, but I am on a hill with great southern exposure, so I'll be looking into Beam.

(I am an American transplant, very spoiled by my cheap cablemodem and dsl there)

Dublin 4 right on the canal and E$at's digging up the road for Broadband for the last two weeks. Seems like it will take forever to lay those big pipes which nobody wants ;-)

Substantial number of people here from Cork it seems, far outweighing the other major urban centres. Are you taking notice Eircom?

So, will we all go out on the batter some night and b1tch and moan about Eircom ad nauseaum? Make Alfie and Ray's ears burn?

Limerick in the city. Now I've a feeling the exchange is in Dooradoyle, but I have something of a clear line of sight to the Eircom tower in town. No, that's understated - I am close enough that from where I'm sitting I can see the whole thing from the top to the base out my living room window and can count the people in the rooms (two people having a conversation right now).

Do I win the "line of sight" comp? Will I get broadband as a result? Will I heck as like.

Ex Cork (will think about moving back if they get broadband more than a few months before us - no I'm not kidding)

Sligo, and I know I'm not alone. Tried to get more to the seminar but work and other commitments prevailed unfortunately.
