Thief 2 Probs - Please Help !!

You see this is my problem.
Whenever I start the first mission as soon as it starts up all I can see is the the textures all corrupted in many many colours.
It is not a pretty site at all.
If I try to move the mouse in any way the Game crashes and goes back to the Desktop.
I can't play Thief 2 now because of this so can some1 pleez help meh.

Turn off 3D acceleration.

Best bets:
Update your graphics card drivers.
See if there's a patch available for the game from the developers website.
If the game has an option to chose between DirectX and OpenGl try switching.
Generally fiddle about with the games display settings.
Lower/raise the amount of colours in display properties.
Do a search on altavista or google about the problem.

The only Video options in the Game are
: Fogging ON/OFF,Weathering ON/OFF,Resolution.

there is no option to select 3D acceleration either or to switch between OpenGl or Directx.
I looked at Eidos Interactive's Tech. Support Site and I found a command in the user.cfg that is supposed to fix it.I did this and still no luck.

This is just kick in the teeth and the moment.

Oh and one more thing - The Demo worked loverly.
Nothin' a bit wrong with it.
