IMO Smicer is one of Liverpool's worst signings in recent years. He has scored the odd important goal in the Premiership but has he contributed anything else to the team worth mentioning?
I was at the 'Boro game on Saturday, and he was hopeless, as i fully expected.
Anyone remember Jean Michel Ferri ??? What a player he was.

Smicer is'nt the worst by a long shot but he may the least well adapted to the English game, he's a slight figure
and cant really hack it in the mid-field blood and thunder.

Khvarme and Jimmy Carter both spring to mind, Smicer is poor but hes far from the worst we've ever had

I think Smicer is skillfull enough, and he had potential there for a while. He did score some important goals for us too....

But he rarely has the impact a player in his position should have, & why they kept him and sold yari, I'll never know...

LOL yeah... I remember him! He was responsible for all four goals that we conceided against Tottenham. And was never seen near Manchester again!!

How about Henning Berg. He was pretty poor in the United shirt, however he did make a couple of vital clearances in both of the Champions league quarter finals in 1999. Still shíte though.

Prunier does not count, he was only there on a months trial, at Cantonas request I think. Fergie was certainly doing someone a favour. Bit harsh on Henning Berg I think Pornapster. I didnt think he was that bad with United.

If you were to list Houliers first choice 11 then Smicer would definetly be the worst of them (closely followed by Owen) but he'd have a long way to go to be considered the pools worst ever.
