been getting nose bleeds on and off for about a year now. They come very easily, when i blow my nose, get a knock etc.
    Anyways,
what can i do to stop or shorten them?

I think there is a medical procedure to stop the bigger (or smaller) blood vessels in you're nose from rupturing. But probably ott, you should check the interweb or if you have any other symptons check with you're gp.

Got to a doctor. You may need it cauterized.

i used to get nosebleads a lot when i was younger. than i didnt get them so much for a couple of years. then it started reoccurring a few yrs back. went to da doc, went to see a ears nose & throat specialist, he recommended i have surgery to repair the blood vessles in the nose. so i went and had it, & it bugged the **** outta me for about a week 'cos my nose was all blocked up with blood from da opp. no pain cos you get nice painkillers(cocaine extracts i was told ). definitely worth it. since then i had a tiny hint of blood once or twice from a cold or flu... but never a bleed. :D

you do have to be aware of the cost of an opp & consultancy fees. lucky for me i was covered under my folks VHI at the time, i dunno exactly how much it was.
