    Running OSX...

    Rite folks heres the prob

using cp -R -p blah toBlah in terminal (well that was pretty obvious i know)

some of the files appear to loose there extensions
it can handle some of the files ie html ones but appears to
f3ck the rest of them up.
the folders which it copies over appear to be fine but when ya
actually delve deeper into them their not

    ????
    Thanks for reading,
    A.

are you using the ** wildcard?

    cp -R -p ** /some_place should work fine.

    Thanks for your reply Hecate.

Found the command ditto -rsrcFork which appears to be what i need.
    Will try yours as well.
