I want to get a new phone line installed in my house.

We already have an eircom *ahem* "hi-speed" line and use both numbers regularly.

Can i request the NUMBER 2 from the isdn line, move to a new analogue socket and to apply a new number to LINE 2 on the isdn line?

Also, do they have to install a physically new copper line into my house? Or will they try put a pair gain or what not?

No In order for you to do that you will have to downgrade the Hi speed line have the 2nd number as the new Installation on the PSTN line

Then upgrade the Hi speed Line again ?????? expensive

the easiest way is to get a new PSTN line or if you have a NT1+ use the analogue port for voice
