HP Laserjet series II windows 98 driver

Hi all having problems installing the driver for this. i downloaded it from hp but every time i install it keeps bringing up an auto cad window but i dont have it. do i need to download it if so what version.

try using a generic laserjet driver, solved a simiar problem i had on a NT4 machine

if this is the printer you're talkin about then it was probably mostly used for auto cad in industry & in colleges. we have similar behemoths in college for that you see.



you were probably downloading the auto cad setup for the printer. if you have a look at this, http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?locale=en_US&prodNum=33440A&lang=English+%28US%29&basePartNum=lj428&locBasepartNum=lj428en&os=Microsoft+Windows+98&tech= , you'll find this is probably what you're lookin for. i know it says HP LaserJet Euro but if you have a look at the previous page, http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNum=33440A&prodName=hp+LaserJet+series+II+printer&locale=en_US&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=25496 ,it is under the downloads for win98.
