Club crest design

i want to design a club crest for me local club.

but i have no idea how.

any suggestions.

i'm just trying to design a crest for my local SOCCER club.

does the type of club make a difference to how I make the crest?????

I don't know what your talking about.

Sorry, does matter really though. Different sports seem to have different shape crests from what ive seen.

Soccer crests are round, GAA are ??, Rugby are that rounded triangle type shape.

If the club has some sort of history you could draw from that or if not if there is any local history.

i was kinda thinking along the lines of how to design it not where to draw the ideas for it from.

As in what s/w or what?

Look at macromedia freehand, fireworks, adobe photoshop for graphic design.

Of course it does - unless you don't mind a family or state crest that looks like Chelsea FC's.
