    If you want to maximise reception I suggest upgrading to a UNIx 100 Group A aerial and Fringe supreme masthead amp - group A or probably better a wideband vhf-uhf amp to improve the vhf signals too.Check the fringe site. Mount the UHF at the top of pole then the Vhf both horizontally polarised but of course facing in different directions. Use a log pole mounted as high a syou can on the house or wherever (say 16 ft pole but not aluminium - guess Wales can get as windy as here!) You will have to spend some money but always worth it to improve pictures I feel.
