My dad would go crazy - if he missed any incoming phonecalls. I have 2 lines at the minute but is there any way of just using one.

V.92 standard has a feature that will notify you of incoming calls while you are on the net. Ask on the Net/Comms forum.

    What is V.92?

What would you need to hook it up to your computer?

    Check out http://www.v92.com/
All you need is a v92 modem and an ISP that supports it.
No ISPs here are fully supporting it though afaik

    (wrong info fixed :))

Sorry, my mistake. UTV support it, but the last I saw of it on that UTV thread on IrelandOffline not all the access servers had been upgraded to v92.

Is anybody using it? Do you just plug in the modem to a port on your pc?
