Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Search Function & Minimum word length

    If only I could search...

Can I ask the purpose of the mimimum word length search?

I'm trying to search the Unix board for DVD software but it wont allow me to because DVD is shorter than 4 characters.

This has happened to me on numerous times when I've gone to search for other things, and frankly its kind of annoying to not be able to look to se has your question been answered already.

For the likes of myself it means that I dont have to re-post something that was posted about 6 months ago only to be linked to the thread that I cant search for, with a suitably smug comment from somebody or other.

For the other boards users it means that they dont have to answer a silly question that has already been answered.

Try searching for DVD* - it'll find your result. The problem with a minimum sized search is that if you searched for 'a', for example, it would return all the words with 'a' in it. This is an unacceptably intensive search really.
