It really depends on price ratio

so its either 650ipod Vs 450zen
!!

personally I overall prefere my zen, as I can use both usb and firewire

so I can *backup songs in work and bring them home

I had a Zen for a while didnt like it too much, you had to use horrible spammy software.
Got myself a Archos Multimedia Jukebox with a 10Gb h/d and then upgraded it to a 40Gb, and its plug and play, no software needed.
Havent used an ipod yet.
