    David Beckham's not being allowed to promote "Bend it like Beckham" in the US cos nobody has a rashers who he is on the other side of the water.

    Iinstead they are using Mia Hamm, who is the current US Ladies soccer captain for all those who dont know who she is either!!

    It's getting a pretty limited release in any case (though more Americans seem to know about other varieties of football than ever before). I gather they took it to Sundance and they got a distributor out of that.

    (Parminder Nagra is rather cute - no comment on the blonde girl as she's 8 years younger (though for some reason:D she looked like Natalie Portman in the Phantom Menace))
