You did see Chavez: the Mofie on RTE, right?

    America cares nothing for democracy.

RE:....."Well apparently the US is bugging members of the UN Security Council if reports released in yesterdays Observer are to be believed."

Typical behaviour of Bush and the minion of snakes in his administration!

As far as the American people go, I tend to avoid wholesale condemnation of an entire group of individuals as it really serves no positive purpose and it only adds to the more than adequate amount of hate and prejudice that is already in the world. It is no secret that there are many Americans who are sick and tired of being "F"ed in the posterior by their own government officials.

You may be forgetting that the USA is a Constitutional Democracy, it is only restrained by the constitution, after that the government can do anything it wants. To compare with say France, the comparison has usually been the French constitution says everything is illegal unless allowed by the constitution, the American constitution says everything is legal unless disallowed by the constitution.

In other words they have "cleaned" the document to prevent it being tracked from it's contents (via deliberate spelling and grammatical errors in this case "topic" is spelt "topi", synonyms and the like)
