Muppet Hunt? Anyone?

Well I suppose I'm not the only one to notice that celebguy_dv muppet has spammed just about every thread they could. I don't know about anyone else but this is pissing me off. It's been a while since we've had a boards.ie muppet hunt/revenge thingy so why not now eh?

Well I suppose I'm not the only one to notice that celebguy_dv muppet has spammed just about every thread they could. I don't know about anyone else but this is pissing me off.

It's been a while since we've had a boards.ie muppet hunt/revenge thingy so why not now eh?

Its seems that there are more than just one muppet spamming each and every thread on boards.ie

I think it is time that a number of muppet hunts/revenge thingies be put into action!! The above muppet that Puck speaks about isn't the only person that needs to be taught some manners!!!!

Before Puck gets lynched, I've made the same mistake. The link he made, takes you to the profile of the last poster in the thread specified - in this case, Thorbar (I think the spammer was deleted, and Thorbar's was the previous post).

This happens when you click on someone's name from the 'Last Post' column when looking at a forum or the search page

Oops sorry Thorbar! Never one to go wrongfully besmurchin' a user's good name I must apologise. Its exacly like seamus said (thanks for clearing that up seamus) - that link went to the profile of last poster on a particular thread rather than the actual spammer's profile.

The spammer I was referring to was called celebguy_dv and posted loads of replies to many different threads linking to some celebrity porn site.

Just to clear things up again Dev, and also because I can't reply to the thread on Admin/Support, this was all an honest mistake - I linked to Thorbar's profile by accident (the exact details were posted earlier in this thread). Since realising my mistake I have both apologised to Thorbar in private and on this thread where I tried to set the record straight. So basically it was a non-argument and everything's fine now (I hope) . I've never had anything against Thorbar and certainly don't consider him to be a spammer.
