Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I had subscribed to the Deutsch board for obvious reasons, but it didn't send me an email when new posts arrived. So, what's the story?

Subscribing to a forum doesn't mean you automatically get mailed when a new post is made on that forum (even though being subscribed to a thread usually does mean that for the thread), it just means that it shows up on things like the user cp and the front page etc.

Notification on new posts in a forum can be switched on though, I'll see if I can sort that out for you.

It must have been a thread you were subscribed to (you did post on most of the first few Deutsch threads iirc). Anyway, you should be getting notifications via mail for any new posts on Deutsch.
