    what are some good songs that this radio station plays??? good irish bands??? cuz i'm from the states and the radio station (Phantom FM) does not say the name of the songs. i'd like to know some good european rock band names.. THANKS!

    Well if you enjoy american stuff like Don Caballero and the like, then check out The Redneck Manifesto, another Irish band... similar sort of sound.

    On the Phantom FM website, in the Phantom Charts section, they've got weekly charts featuring the top Irish bands too, you might find some useful info re bands in there too...

    I dunno if you would call this a plug but Donegal band Berkeley are great.
    I've heard them a few times on Phantom, and they are getting quite a few good reviews in the music mags for their debut album "hope, prayers and bubblegum".It was recorded with Steve Albini in Chicago and does indeed rock one's socks:)

    The new Future Kings.. track is brilliant as well. Its all good news as regards Irish rock at the moment.

    hate to ask but, is there anywhere i can download this music??? cuz i've never heard of any of these bands...except the frames, I LIKE THEM! but i only could find one song. see we dont' really have these bands cd's in the states.

    Agreed on the Future Kings track. It's amazing!! Can't wait to see them at the Green Energy festival. I think they are headlining at TBMC. Not totally sure about this but i think I read that somewhere. Can anyone confirm this?
