Hi Cloud-Warrior.

I read about your reaper challenge on
http://weber.ucg.ie/quake/dm4.html.

I was wondering if you have tried the Frogbot for Quake. The
latest version contains dm4 support and should be posted at
http://www.telefragged.com/metro/ within the next day.

If you or anyone else tries 4 Frogbots on dm4 for 5 minutes let
me know how you do. It is best to use the default skill 100
since the Frogbots at this skill have roughly the same aim as a
skill 1 reaper bot.

It is a nicer patch than Reaper, but I'm not sure
that skill 1 bots are the same as skill 100 Frog
bots - they seem to be less effecive in using the
LG but better with everything else - and they act
a fair bit differently. And I do better against
Reapers.

Hmmmm

I think I'll go give DM4 another try.

These bots are unbelievable. They are the best I've played (including omicrons) Skill 100 is good for one-on-ones. Try them.

Let me rephraze that - I normally get over 20 Reapers
in five minutes on DM4. Against the Frogs, I was lucky
to get over 5. i spent a few frustrating hours playing
them lat night.

More like playing really GOOD human players.

They definitely act more human - they occasionally
ignored me!

I was curious to see how people would go at this skill challenge.

Of course, for a fun game, you should adjust the skill level (goes from 0 to 100). You need to respawn the Frogbots after you change skill.

EWJ did alot better than me, I think he got double
figures.

I was impresed at how human they were acting. In a
1-on-1, Jim found that the Bot was lurking for him
and generally acting human rather than bot like.

Nice patch it has to be said.

Armed with the new knowledge that you have the respawn
the bastichs, I go and merrily get slaughtered...

The Frog Bots are excellent. Much more fun than the stupid old Reaper bots.
