Setting up a wireless connection on a box and unable to ping the nic but can ping the linksys Ap which is connected to the nic.I have tried a couple of different nics,in different pci slots and different cat5 cable.Have also deleted all network settings and installed them again, when I check the nic in device manager it tells me all is well and no irq conflicts.Below is the spec and whats coming up on the screen, both nic and Ap have upto date driver/firmware

This box is the local host.I have three machines setup wirelessly, the other two can see each other and they can also see the Linksys AP(Gateway) but cannot see the box that the Ap is connected to.

I am well aware of that, I want to examine if the TCP/IP that has been set up is working properly.
    From a command prompt try
    'ping localhost'
    and then try
    'ping [computername]'

See can the machine ping itself.

adding to above any response to "ping 127.0.0.1" ??

What do you mean by the other two "cannot see" the box? Are you referring to in network neighbourhood or pinging the ip addresses?

    Do a "route PRINT"
You should see a route set up for your local ip address.
    If not add one.
