    No, not giving the man himself away, but thanks to the lovely man in MCD I'm giving away a double pass to see Cathal Coughlan live on my show next Sunday.

    The gig is in Whelans on Saturday, 22nd March.

    Cathal, originally from Cork, has been in a heap of great bands, starting with Microdisney, then Fatima Mansions (Bubonique for a while) and is now solo, backed by the Necropolitan Quartet. I saw him about a year ago in the Shelter and he was as amazing as ever.

    In his "angry" days he was one mightily sexy man. He's still got it, but not in such quantities. A bit too clean-living for me.
