it's the walsh cup for feck sake!! it's as important as winning division 3B of the NHL or something!

There are some bitter people on these boards Al, but just ignore them. At least we know that we are the Walsh Cup champions, ans we beat a Kilkenny team that had all their available stars, including DJ to win the cup.

that's right waylander...me being a waterford girl and the walsh cup being exclusively a leinster competition, i am of course insanely jealous of dublin's win!!
    hehe..(",)

I said bitter not jealous. Anyway the fact that Dublin beat Kilkenny in a major final is enough to make most Munster teams insanely jealous. However Waterford have yet to progress far enough in a competition to meet Kilkenny in a final!

ah bitter, jealous. in that context they're interchangeable. and if you want to get really pedantic about it, waterford beat kilkenny in the final of the south-eastern league a few years ago...i really didn't want to mention it. it is just about as insignificant as the aforementioned walsh cup. i mean, come the end of the year i can really imagine people saying "well, kilkenny did the league and championship double again, but that walsh cup loss to dublin spoilt everything"

Lucky?! Blah! Pure class! I wasn't at the game myself, but we probably should have won. Ah well one point ain't all that bad. At least we haven't lost any ground, which would be a disaster.

I wasn't at it either. The boss went to somebody hadda hold the fort together :)

Classic game from what I heard.

Cavan were very fortunate not to have been completely over run at certain stages of the game but fair dues to them for the comback.

Bring on the final round o games! :D
