    was wondering if anyone knew of a computer program that you can use to analyse electronic circuits and systems something similar to auto cad

    preferably if it was freeeeeeee........

    PSPICE is what we used in college for electronic circuit analysis. you can get the student version here (28MB download tho).
    another one we used was Protel (another 180 odd megs) for designing PCB's and the like, its only a trial version tho...

    I haven't started using much of that sort of software yet, but Orcad is one I've heard of
