Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    So who will go through to the UEFA semi's?

    Celtic Vs Liverpool

    Porto Vs Panathinaikos

    Lazio Vs Besiktas

    Málaga Vs Boavista

    Latest news from the "Battle of Britain" tie is that Larsson will be back for Celtic but Didier Agathe will miss out due to a hamstring tear. Otherr than that will Hypia and Traore be able to hold out Larsson.

    Was gonna say that if the Celts got through the Liverpool games that we could win it specially as Larsson should be returning to full fitness.
    BUT saw Portos name there! :( Those ****ers ran rings around us last year in Portugal and Id rather not face em again.

    Well if Liverpool want to get through they will need a brilliant performance all round because Celtic look on fire at teh moment. They are a brilliant team going forward with five in midfield but then Liverpool are strong in defence. Celtic on the other hand don't look comfortable in defence at times and that could well suit Owen and Baros/Diouf. That match is too close to call.

    Other than that I'll go with the rest and say;

    Lazio

    Boavista

    I have to say I think Celtic are going to get past the Pool this time. Would not be surprised to see Beskitas beat Lazio either.

    You could be right but i dont rate Celtic at all. Im a big supporter of them but i dont think you cannot compare Lennon,Thompson and Lambert to Hamann, Gerrard and Murphy.Pool defence is way better as for the mulickers Hartson and Sutton up top, nuff said.
    I hope the brilliant Larson is still out as ive gotta shout for the pool,just a pity one has to loose.
    Pool team on paper IMO is way ahead but it will mean very little over the two legs.

    According to the Irish Sun Liverpool have received tapes from Rangers on Celtics latest performances. Jaysus there's no rivalry there at all:p

    Maybe its just me, but if a team gets to the semi-final of a european competition, then there not gonna be an easy team to beat, look at alaves a couple blian o shin. Boavista are an established team, so maybe thay have no world class players like the hoops larsson or petrov (who just signed a new 6 year contract extension... Woohoo), but they ain't gonna be a pushover.

    Still though wouldn't it be a great way to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the famous hooped shirt with "UEFA Cup winners 2003" embroidered underneath the new badge :)

    In other news the scottish champions qualify for the champions league proper after celtics performances in europe over the past two seasons, which has pushed the scottish leagues uefa co-efficient above turkeys. More reason to pummel those Hun bastids in the Old Firm.
