Best place for LCDs?

Anyone know the best site for buying a 19" LCD in Ireland?

Or a store even? I'm trying to persuade me mate to upg rather than buy a whole new system from dell - the system he wants is

P4 3.06
512mb 1066 rdram
soudblaster audigy 2
19" LCD

has has a good vid card already and plenty of hard drive space..

the system he wants to buy is €2800 or so..

so - LCDs folks - where to buy?

I think my mate's mental to buy anew PC off Dell when he can get a much better machine by upgrading - the only sticking point is he reckons he can't get a 19" LCD cheaper anywhere else other than with a package from Dell...

Any ideas?

Did a quick search on google and found some Amazon UK
I will think twice on getting from US there is Vat/Tax issue.
But I don't think there is one from UK.

wow - those prices are mentalist!... I evidently know nothing of these things.... are they like CPU's in the price flex? IE wait a while and it'll drop significantly...

You won't get a 19" TFT cheap. Not a chance in hell

Check out Ebay. Some places (US retailers) sell them cheap there.

Yeah - point of interest - amazon and ebuyer are selling the same 19" LCD - but ebuyer are over £200STR cheaper!

Wow - I can't believe anybody could possibly buy from amazon - 5 seconds reasearch saves you nearly €300??

Snakes at ebuyer say they won't ship to Ireland - my personal feeling is its some lazy lollygagger not bothering to research their shipping policy...

ebuyer - a real drag trying to log in when they insist on you having a postcode... I just made one up and then queired what they had against the Irish - apparently our money's not good enough...

If you're going to be playing games or DVDs on it, beware of cheap TFTs. Check out reviews first.

Ebuyer generally ship anything.
I've bought very large consignments from them in the past.
Up to 5 ,15kg boxes so I dont see why they wont send this monitor.
For the postcode just enter Eire or Rep Ire and it should work fine.
The delivery service is a bit rough for Ireland though.
They use some local Irish courier company that are a bid incompetent.
Should be better for a 50 euro delivery charge.
