Can anyone help me with this. I have a compaq Armada M700. I have just wiped it and reinstalled the o/s (Win98SE). All went fine till I came to the modem. Can anyone help me with this. I have a compaq Armada M700. I have just wiped it and reinstalled the o/s (Win98SE). All went fine till I came to the modem. It does not find the modem but I can force it to install the 3com win modem that the compaq white paper said is the on board modem. Also, This may be linked to the problem since it shares the same IRQ 11 with the Texas cardbuse PCI -1211 controller. If I remove this, when it is detected on reboot I try to install it letting windows do the work and I get a installing device error, unable to load (modem.cpl) for the hardware WDM_MODEM.

Anybody got any idea's, please?
