Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wife has correctly surmised that Sat Dishes at 80cm a pop mounted externally are ugly bastids. I agree with Wife on this. There are social issues too but never mind :D

Wife has no problem with said dish being internally mounted as there is plenty of room in the attic on the south eastern side of the chimney breast. There is a power socket up there and an amplifier for the in house cables so its not a diabolic idea really.
The electrical storms in the west this week make me reluctant to put any kit ouside anyway.

The cable run from the back of the LNB to the amplifier will be 2 metres amax

The roof is tiled and not slated.

If an 80Cm dish with a 'normal' LNB did the job externally

Therefore what Cm dish size along with what 'kind' of LNB would be required in me attic to produce the same results as an 80Cm mounted externally with Normal LNB

Would an 80CM dish still do the job but require an extra amp at the LNB ? .

    M
