How to lock down a machine ?

    Lets say I have a pc running Windows ME (I know I know :rolleyes: ) which is on an NT network. Now I want to lock down that machine such that .exe files cannot be run, I can hide partitions, system files cannot be deleted, access to files on the network is resrticted ect ect ect

    what is the best way to achieve this ? I understand I can run a policy on login that will lock down these features (?) or would it be better to invest in a third party software to achieve what I want ?

    a program called tweaki could solve some of your problems.
