Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Newcastle-vs-Barcelona - Live Wednesday on Granada Plus, according to one of the weekend TV mags also as of yet not on EPG.

    If this turns out to be correct more than likely it will be encrypted in ROI. Am I right in saying that ITV news became encrypted during Champions League games for the ROI when they showed games?

    I know for a period of a month or so before Christmas the ITV news channel disappeared from the Irish EPG altogether to co incide with the champions league, not quite sure what happened since the return in February.

    they surely cannot block this channel from the ROI seeing as we all pay a subscription to receive it

    ITV News is a free channel so it is understandable that that may be encrypted for a match (not for the whole evening like they have done :mad: )

    I would be 100% certain that this match will be encryped on Granda Plus in Ireland . Pity cause the Newc/Barca game would have been great to watch live.

    Only slight hope is that it may be avail on FTV Cards as it was originally supposed to be on a channel (ITV News)that was available to that level of card.

    As Jez has said if you have a FTV card you should be able to watch the match no probs. Select ITV Tyne Tees tru' Other Channels. Last week Tynes Tees showed Newcastle match whilst rest of ITV Network had Arsenal live. The former was a far better match to watch.

    It was on Tyne Tees last week becuase on Tuesday nights the games are on ITV1 and ITV2. It was easy for them so show a different game in a certain region on ITV1.

    ITV1 does not show games on Wednesday nights. They show them on ITV2 and usually ITN News but tonight they are using Plus. As there is no football scheduled for ITV1 tonight it will not be on Tyne Tees as the listing show.

    Newcastle v Barca pre match show unencryped at the moment on Granada Plus. Hope it stays for the match:cool:

    Sky EPG 118 Newcastle v Barcelona in the clear on Irish Sub. Well so far it is. Not available on FTV Card although.

    Hopefully it will still be clear a 7.45

    Great!! I imagine it will stay available now. After all, why would they block it? Both G+ and TV3 are half owned by Granada! :D

    Rights issues, you a a fickle mistress...

    Although maybe the reason we are seeing the game is that it is on a pay-channel. Mind you, ITV News is also a pay-channel for cable viewers. (Just like every other channel on cable).

    Long ago, Tyne Tees Television would indeed have opted out of ITV to show this game, if they held the rights for it. Not today...

    that didn't interfere with Coronation Street/The Bill etc. though. it replaced the Arsenal match. so people in the Tyne Tees region they had the choice of 1 match on 2 channels (unless they had Sky of course)
