Using a SMC ISDN Router on a small network (3 MAC's 2 PC's). Dont like it anymore as it is dialing up like mad for some reason (4100 connections in one month).

Does anybody know of an ISDN Router with a webinterface that enables to dial-up and disconnect. Dont like dial-on-demand anymore and want to only dial up manually.

I gave you your answer to this question here. http://muppet.boards.ie/vbulletin/t88111.html where you posted the same question.

Like I said in that post theres a company in Blackrock that can sell these.

Also if you even bother to Google
    Youd find these

As requested by you I moved my question into this section.

    My simple question is :

Is there anyone out there that is using an ISDN Router that can do "manually dial up" and not "dial on demand".

I just need the make and model.

dod is what routers were made for tho wasnt it ? couldnt it just be some program ur using dialing up to the net each time one of the pc's or mac's is loaded ?

you could just get a switch and network the lot ? i know it means keeping one pc on for the internet the hole time but it dose allow dod to be disabled if you want

    just a thought

If you have an old pc (486 or p1) lying around just stick an isdn odem and a NIC into it and install smoothwall,
    www.smoothwall.org
I've got 18 computers behind one and the setup and web interface are a dream to use, no need to be a *nix Geek
It has squid built in so if you have a reasonable sized HDD in the machine you can setup a caching proxy and save expensive bandwidth
