You support the Ideal of tyrranical, dictatorial, or communistic government - while admitting that in reality it does not (and never will) exist because it rests on presumptions of behaviour that humans cannot fulfill, eg, that the "ideal" tyrant to run a tyrannical government cannot be guaranteed. I defy you to prove that such a person even exists.

Do you even know what a Tyrannic Government is? It is a Greek idea so be sure you know what you talk about before you answer.
I admit that a Tyranny of the type I describe will never work - thus what is your point? I admitted said form of government would not work - you seem a bit pissed that I stole your thunder LOL.
As to a communist government, I am not going back over this. I did not say a Communist government would not work nor did I say it was oppressive, dictatorial blah di blah di blah. If you wish to discuss communism properly vs liberal democracy then start a post and stop saying such childish things as 'I defy you....'
The very NATURE of a tyrant, or a dictator, is to IMPOSE a form of government on a population

Tyrant and Dictator may be interchangeable in a modern vocabulary but not in my lexicon nor in any other ancient historians'. A tyrant was chosen by the people. A dictator installs himself into power. One is unofficially elected, the other is not. Big difference.

Let me clarify my own position for those who seem insistent on confusing it in order to sabotage my arguments.

Tyrannos; I believe that this Ancient Greek form of Government would be perfect, removing beaurocracy, factionalism, pyramidal classes and so on - as I stated however before ANYONE attacked this idea, it will not work since the right man or woman could not be found from one generation to the next. Kindly stop belabouring a point I made before any of you as it serves no purpose.

Democracy; I disagree with the idea of liberalism - Free Market economy harms the world and harms democracy. I do agree with democracy but not capitalist democracy of any sort - I would prefer a Socialist Democracy - all candidates are elected and so on but the focus is on the people rather than on private profit - some of you at least will be familiar with this and it is nothing like the Stalinist models that some people willfully interpret to be the symbol of all 'socialist' ideas in order that the wrongs of their own systems are overshadowed by those of an idea with no roots in real socialist / Marxist doctrine.

The UN; See earlier posts regarding security council. I do support the UN in theory but in practice I believe that it is an organisation corrupted to the will of one or a few nations as should never happen. In truth I do think that the idea of the nations state is outdated and that the UN should form the basis of a world government on centralised socialist principles. This is a recognised representative form of government, something that renders Sluts protestations about 'representative government being crucial to the UN' obsolete since originally he was equating 'liberal democracy' and only liberal democracy with 'representative government' which is simply wrong.
This system is known as DEMOCRACY. You are for it on one hand, and against it philosophically. Make up your mind.

I am not against it. End of story. A tyranny is a form of democracy. Hell even a Timocracy is a form of democracy. But before you start what the others call a diatribe again, please read the relevent parts of this post one more time.

Eomer (and everyone else, but mainly Eomer!) maybe we could have a little less very arcane history and more dicussion expressed in terms we all understand.

My god the toys have been chucked out of the pram by all the kiddies!

As this has gone hopelessly off topic I'm closing it.

    Gandalf.
