Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just heard on the news that Robbie Keane's Dad has died. Commiserations to the lad but I would doubt that he will be playing in the Irish games coming up now....

I just read about this myself. Looks like we're not going to have Robbie available for either game .... obviously he has more important things on his mind than football right now.

I'd doubt it too. He'll obviously not be in shape mentally to play the game anyway. He's got more important things to deal with as ciano said, than football.

Might be just the thing he needs to take his mind off it. Who was it that played there a couple of weeks back in the premiership the weekend his brother died ??

    Commiserations to Robbie.

We'll just have to wait and see. It'll be a blow to the Irish team but then again Robbie will have his own hard blow to contend with. He'll have his own way of dealing with it whether it's to play or to stay out for a while.

Who do ye think will replace him - Connolly or Doherty. I'd say Doherty might get the nod

Fupp it I hope not, did you see him last night, he was pure s hi t. Any chance of clint and the duffer up front ? Is Duff injured again ?

Morrison is out with a dislocated shoulder. Leaves our striking contingent down to Doherty, Connolly, Alan Lee and i suppose Duff is an option too.

Not exactly going to strike terror into the hearts of any opponant tho'..

Would go for Connolly and Duff then, if he is played up front. Two nippy little fellas who can get at defences or else push Duff out left and play Connolly off Doherty (can't believe he is an international player)..

I'd go for Doherty and Connolly and keep Duff for Left midfield.

The last I heard Keane was still planning on being with the squad for the game, maybe he'll win it for his dad...

    Mike.

Poor lad, I wouldnt blame him if he didnt play,it all depends on his state of mind. He'll either be completly out of it mentally and wont play,or as mike said, would win it for his dad.
