Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Did anyone else see an interview with Brian last night ?

He could have moaned and groaned about all the players he has lost for a really important game but didn't mention a word.

All he said was that he was happy as long as he had options available to him

A genuine guy , make the best of what you have !!

The game is gonna be really tough considering all that have withdrawn .

18 Players trained today with Graham Barret and David Conolloy joining up later today .

The boys that do play will probably do alright , they have an opportunity to show what they can do.

Graham Barret is outta contract at the end of this season I think so will want to impress any perspective employers !!

Well he is a great manager and was always the man for the job IMO. I wanted him there instead of McCarthy in the first place.

i think David Connlly could be the man for the goals in these two games he's on fire in the first divison with Wimbeldon at the moment,i wouldnt be surprised to see him move to a bigger club in the summer.

Yup, I think Connolly may well score a couple of goals on Saturday. Hes really on form in Div 1 at the moment.

Even with all the injuries we have, we can still put out a very decent XI which is very capable of getting the results we need on Saturday and Wednesday. Though our subs bench may not be as strong as it could be.

O Shea's presence will be important, I wouldn't be so confident about Connolly, he's never been able to match club form on the international stage, not sure he will now. Its a pity Crowe wasn't bang in the middle of the season and fit, would have been an option. Lets hope Lee and Quinn take the opportunities that have been afforded to them if they get a chance.

Kerr is definitely the man for the job.

he knows all the youth that have recently gone through the system.

You know the way alot of them left at 15-16 and you'd lose touch with what they are doing until they come back at 20 and sure they dont even want to see a football anymore at that stage.

Yeah Kerr has been at the helm on that regard and has kept track of the youth that have left Ireland and he was mostly Ireland based in the last job so he has been around Ireland abit and has had more of a chance to see domestic players aswell.

And Lads .... guess what .... he is Oirish too ... sure what more do you want :D

I'd have to agree. I was a bit dubious when he got the job at first but I think he's really excelled in the job.
He seems to be quite a down-to-earth kinda guy, someone the players can relate to, and I think thats extremely important in management. All the best to him.

I'm really excited about the future under Kerr, and the fact that the media loves him should work to his favour, but he hasn't qualified for anything yet, so lets not get carried away.

Its nice to think he'll get at least 3 chances to qualify for a tournament though, like MMcC did.
