Interesting site that includes evidence of scripted questions to bush.

So many journalists seem to be mouthpieces for the state, they know if they don't "play ball" with the administration they won't get an invite to the next jaunt on air force 1. Press conferences seem to have evolved into a carefully choreographed ballet with cringe-inducing questions.

Also some disturbing images of the war

This is nothing new, all wars produce these terrible scenes. What has changed is that now everyone has virtually got instant access to them; because of advances in telecommunications and the internet. They are arriving uncensored onto peoples' desktops and satellite dishes.

So in a way the two links above illustrate the dichotomy of modern news reporting. On the one hand things are becoming ever more packaged, sanatised and managed in such an offensive manner. Yet paradoxically it may well be that the offensively raw, ugly and uncensored images that we are seeing will give us some balance to the situation.

In the case of the US military injuries, theres nothing friendly about friendly fire.

Bush's scripted gaff. What a tit. Why does he bother making people ask questions. What a complete tit.

As for the images, utterly awful.
