3650 Video Conversion

    Does anybody know how to convert the 3650's .3gp videos into .avi or .mpg? Btw I'm using the updated recorder with sound.

    Bizzarely, it appears it cannot (yet) be done. According to this thread on AllAboutSymbian.com it is rumoured that Apple is going to be bringing out a solution.

    I also saw it rumoured somewhere that because 3GP is an mpeg4 format you could simply change the filename extention from .3gp to .mp4 ....... but according to others on AAS that doesn't work.

    unfortunately chaging the extenstion doen't work - it is mpeg4 video but encapsulated into the 3GP format

    hopefully codecs will be brought out for the main players (WinMediaPlayer/Real/QuickTime) soon
