Just after we got ISDN installed (a year ago), we've been having a recurring problem on and off. For a few hours some days (tends to happen around the 12/1pm mark, and end at 3/4pm) the phone would make a very loud crackling sound on our end only (so im told), aswell as regular cut offs. The same problems on the computer, you'd get connected but most of the time you'd be sending and recieving information very slowly if at all, regular cuts offs aswell. So we ring eircom, they come out and replace the ISDN wall mounting, awhile later it starts happening again, they come back out, tell us they're not sure what the problem is that they'll replace the line coming into the house in a week or two to see if that helps. So they come back out and replace the line into the house (a long time after they said they would) and shortly after it starts happening again. It is on and off, there was patches where it happened every day for awhile, then a few months where it didn't happen at all.

Has anyone ever heard of or expeirenced a similar problem? I can't think of anything else causing it, maybe something at the exchange? Its just odd the way it happens usually around the same hours.

    Thanks in advance..
