    I was wondering for the sake of web design what resolution do u use on ur desktop? thnx for your time.

    1280 x 960 you don't ahve that option there.. thats what I use

    because diab, on bigger monitors, e.g. on a 19" 1280x1024 looks like 1024x768 on a 15" but its still a different resolution and things will be further away from each other (problem with your webby is u have layers or something so they move according to resolution) :D

    True i got 1 badly placed Layer. But this is a general topic. not just related to the site. Purely in the interest of research.

    If this is for the sake of webdesign then this is a bad place to test it. Stats are skewed by having a more tech savvy audience than general sites.

    Get a logging script that will measure the browser viewable area, as that's far more important than resolution.

    Also, try avoid resolution independant designs. It's bad practice if you can avoid it.

    1280x960 ... used to use 1600x1200, but I get a nicer refresh rate this way.
