...this is just gonna run and run and run (especially when pornapster and angelwhore get involved).....my own personal would have to be nirvana's In utero although RATM runs a close second.

    Its gotta be RATM-RATM
system of a down's first album and the black album run close up

Ackk how can anyone answer that?

The Bends was just pure genius.
Mellon Collie and the Infinite sadness had everything.
and Nevermind paved the way for most of the music I listen to today.

So I'd say one of those 3.

    GUNS N ****IN ROSES

As far as Rock Albums go I'd say

Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy

But if this were a general Best Album ever, I'd say

The Beatles - The White Album

.....its really hard to choose actually. And those Q magazine polls are always complete crap. They always put Oasis and Robbie Williams in the top ten??? They don't belong in the top 100! Spanners!

One of my Faves in the vaguely "heavy" genre:

Nine Inch Nails: The Downward Spiral

Been listening to it on and off since the day it was released. It was back in the days when I was poor so it was a toss up between buying the album or going to seem them live..I chose the album assuming they'd be back fairly soon...doh!

    Yea you said that already.

For me, it's a toss up between MCIS & Adore. I would say Adore, no question, but this is the Rock/Metal forum :]

Oh and Pixies - Surfer Rosa & Doolittle.
