Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

Just a quick question. I'm getting Sky installed next week and want to have it on more then one TV in the house. I know with Cable, I can just run this from TV to TV in my house, but with Digital, can i buy one of the signal boxes that advertised in Argos - Page 797 (home tv network). Can anyone let me know if they've tried this, if it's worked and how easy it is.

    Many Thanks,
    Stu ;-)

If you're willing to run a co-axial cable to your bedroom, you can buy a 'magic eye' aka Sky TV Link (about £15 new on www.ebay.co.uk) which will allow you to watch and change channels in another room - it uses the co-ax output slot on your digibox.

I personally opted for a 2.4Ghz wireless tv sender (50 Euro in hypermarkets here in France) which works great and can also be used to send signlas to/from my PC or stereo. That's probably what Argos are selling? I know Maplins tend to do tham at reasonable prices from time to time as well. hope that helps.

They use the same band as 802.11b WiFi Wireless networks and all that, and they have antenna that radiate in all directions - your nextdoor neighbour could see what you are watching late at night :o - and some joker with an MMDS dish (€30) wired into a similar reciever could pick you up a lot further...

I know of Radio Hams that when intefered with by some of this gear crank up about 50Watts on the band for a few minutes to persuade others to stop. See also http://www.irishwan.org :)

Electroplus also do SKY remote control extenders so the handset can be used on either end of the cable - just plug the coax into the other output on the Box - if you are going to run cable make sure it is screened - my first attempt with cheapo unscreened cable could pickup TG4 all by itself - no aerial needed. - You'll pick up cable there or in BnQ.
