Hi

I'm just new to this board as i've just joined because me new clan has a forum here too

Anyway i use the same avatar on all forums i'm a member of (which have avatars) but i can't seem to use custom avatars here

Anyway a clanm8 said i should post a request here for it if i really wanted to. and i do!

It's this pictur e of Rowfl the muppet.

My own name is Ralph and it sounds the same and i wear a lot of suits to and i love the muppets haha ;E So this avatar really suits me and i was dissapointed to not find a rowfl muppet avatar under the default site ones. Only kermit and dracula etc

so plzplzplzplzplzplz can i have this???? xD

I'm fairly sure all images have to be 32 x 32. Also I don't know if they'll accept a real picture as an avatar. I've never seen a avatar that wasn't a drawing or cartoon. But I ain't an admin so don't listen to me.

I've never seen a avatar that wasn't a drawing or cartoon.

Sure you have Thorbar.. mine! and Gandalfs, offhand that i know of... im sure there are many more.

As for the avatar.. what does it matter? Its not like the name has any bearing on the avatar in this case. Me being Saruman needs a Saruman avatar.. and there were plenty there (though not the best!).

well maybe you didn't read my post then As i said the avatar bears resemblance to my real name which is Ralph, + i just like the picture itself. Nother wrong with it if i request it imho.

I fear that we are stuck with the roguish DeVore and his evil ways but once you bring yourself down to his level you find that he really isn't that bad at all save for a rather overgrown dictator moustache.

One thing I'd love to see as an Avatar is Beastie the "BSD Daemon". Seeing that Boards is running off a BSD variant it seems quite apt.

When I find time I'll make a 32x32 gif of it and link it up. I've been meaning to do some work on my usual 80x80 version anyway (transparency layer).

(80x80 version for the uninitiated to BSD)

I'm fully aware of that, .. just don't have much else to do today. I'm just linking up the Avatar on the off chance it might be added ... seeing the obvious BSD connection.

Also, I don't as such want it as a unique personal avatar (that wouldn't be very *BSD) ... just another addition to the general pool. I could see it being popular.

A little bit of work would obviously be required to photoshop it into shape.

Yeah well I thought my own custom avatar would look cool before DeVore spat on it, wiped his feet on it and tossed it onto the kerb. Lets just say it's hard to be optimistic when DeVore slags off your masterpiece and tells you repeatedly to STFU. I'm just trying to save you from the heartbreak that I felt. Oh, how I cried.
