David Beckam isn't world class. He deserves his place on the united and England teams but definitley , definitley is not worth 40 or 50 mill.
He brings a circus whenever he steps out in his wifes knickers. and he's a soft touch. Did ye see him trying to get fired up in the England match. I nearly fell over laughing.

Also he hasn't contriubuted to the team this last two seasons. Going going gone!!!!

Giggs- couldn't sell a world class player like that. Would be a crime

Regardless of bad (or good) ppl may think Beckham is, I dont think you will find any transfers anywhere near 40-50 million because of the current market.

Anyway I agree with ya that Becks is not worth that muchò as a player anyway. Maybe with the money that he brings to Utd through advertising and endorsements he would be worth that. I reckon as a player he is worth 20 million tops (90% of that for his right leg):p

You want to sell Veron, Beckham and Forlan?! Christ wake up! We really do need these players and big time.

Who knows another player in the world who can play like Beckham?! He clearly is one of our most valuable players. What good is money to Man Utd when one of their main assets is gone?

We need Veron for European matches. Most European sides are scared shítless of his precision passing and shooting ability. He hasn't been playing too bad this season either. Definately one of our most improved players.

We need Forlan because he can get goals out of nothing (eg. Chelsea, Southampton, Villa etc.). I'd doubt if Connolly would be anywhere near his standards.

It's looking very likely that he will go in the summer for ten million or so the Times was reporting last week.

I think United should sell Giggs and only sell Forlan is they sign Ronaldinho. I'd be very surprised if they sell Beckham he must bring in a small fortune in jersey sales and I do think he is a world class player, he has a great work rate and his crossing and free kicks are world class.

If United sign Ronaldinho in the summer and he stays fit I predict United will win tons of trophies nest season, the guy is far better than even Theiry Henry (I'm a big fan of Henry btw) in my opinion.

Veron can hit spectacular passes. I agree that he has had his moments of genius. But how many tackles does he pull out of? How often does his give the ball away? I believe he does more harm than good. While the opposition in Europe might be shi**en his good passes , his own tem are shi**en his bad ones!!!

I'm border line agreeing with you. But the present United team is startin to get on a bit and If Fergie got a ridiculous amount of money for him to over haul his squad. Knowing how good he is in the transfer market i'd say go for it!!

Don't forget Fergie's previous selling record either. He let go of Paul Ince and Kanchelskis when they were still seemingly great players.

On the Beckham transfer (1) Don't think he would want to leave (although Posh might enjoy moving to Spain or Italy). (2) He's worth too much money to the Plc. He gets paid an extra 20k a week from the club in revenue generated so just think how much the club make from him. (3) He's the darling boy of Man U and English soccer at the mo. There'd be outrage if he left the English game.

Not too sure about Beckham though. Still can't tackle properly, and I too nearly wet myself in the first 5 mins of the English game.

As good a player Giggs is I think he could be sold this year. Cash in on him while they can sort of thing.

I wouldnt mind too much if United sold Beckham, he's gone as far as he can in his United career, it might be time for a change and United will never get as good a chance to cash in on his value.

As for Giggs, this seems more of a certainty every week. He's a great player but cant turn it on every week, like he used to.

Veron is the future, and he has been getting involved in the nitty gritty challenges of the premiership.

And Jaap Stam ...and there was another year left in Mark Hughes and in Sheringham and in Gordon Strachan but Ferguson was unsentimental and let them go anyway. How many of the above were MU captains ?

Ferguson is great at picking the right moment to say bye bye . It is one of his core strengths.

That dope Keane must not forget that, he had Stam on the market and gone within a week at most. He would consider a good price for Giggs...... UK£15m will take him ....he's all yours.
