I've got an asus p4g8x motherboard and went looking
for some ram for it. I went to the crucial site coz of their
good memory selector, but there was no pc2100 (non-ecc) ram with a of CL2. I emailed them asking them about this and they
    said this
    "Hello
    Thank you for your enquiry.

Unfortunately, we do not have stock of DDR2100 Cas 2 and will not be supporting Cas2
    DDR memory in the future.

This does not make a significant difference to the running of the system

    "

I had the impression that there was quite a bit of a difference.
    Any thoughts?

put it this this way 2100 & cl2 was tested as faster than CL2.5 PC2700 on THG a while back.

your board should have SPD and adjust for your new RAM. A low CAS, RAS, and prechrge is always preferable.

Cruical 2100 should have no problem running at CAS 2 anyway .
