LP'ers don't run faster then HP'ers.... Errr Actually they do in Quake2, so they proberly will QW as well.

I've tested it. and I had a ping of 150-200, the LP'er had 50. He ran twice my speed at least.

    Hobbes.

He wasn't talking about Quake2, and he did test it in QW, LPBs dont move any faster.

    : Hobbes.

I believe that they also move faster in Mechwarrior and PacMan.
    Possibly also in real life....

Still has nothing to do with what I was writing about.

    DeVore.

Come _on_ LPBs _can't_ run faster!!! It is _totally_ illogical!
The only advantage an LPB would have in a race is that they would
receive the "starting signal" before the HPB. So, the LPB would probably
win the race, but only because he started first, both players would
take the same amount of time.

I'm pretty much as LPB as one gets to the Tinet servers, usually my
ping does not go above the 50-75 range, and I have *never* outrun
*anyone*, or managed to catch another player up in a straight dash
down a corridor. It just doesn't happen.

Hobbes, you yourself said I 'tore away' from out the other night
in CTF, and you said that was proof, yet I told you I
had simply grappled down that corridor to get away
    (as a low health flag-carrier does. :P)

Come on lads, drop this thread now. The server controls the game.
It does not model one player faster than another based on ping.

    Teeth.
