    Hi all,

    Am interested in Witness now that Coldplay are headlining, along with the likes of Doves, Lemon Jelly, Royksopp and others, but need to find out who plays when as I dont think I would be interested in both days... Can anyone point me to where I can find this?

    cheers,

    Voodoo

    Witnness leave it late to give you whose playing which day, but they leave it go right down to the wire before they give a breakdown on whose playing what stages because they know people will be pissed off to find the 3 bands they may have bought a ticket for are all playing at the same time. Still went last year on the Sunday and really enjoyed, great day out if the weathers good. According to your theory REM are headlining one of the nights?? aren't they playing Marlay Park i doubt if they'll play witnness too?

    Note that the following bands that are confirmed for T in the Park will not be playing Witnness. This is because they are performing at the Manchester Move Festival instead, which is held over the same weekend (July 12-13);

    The Charlatans
    Feeder
    Idlewild
    R.E.M.
    John Squire

    More bands could be added to this list.
    Interestingly, Badly Drawn Boy has chosen to play Witnness over T in the Park.

    Also note that the following bands are playing Manchester Move on Friday 11 and might be on track for a Witnness appearance over the next two days;

    Manic Street Preachers
    The Mars Volta
    Super Furry Animals

    I heard a rumour that Prince might be playing at Witnness (unlikely, I know) .... anyone heard anything more about it ?

    Someone called into Ian Dempsey yesterday and asked if it was true. Have seen it on a couple of sites since then. I seriously doubt it (although i will probably buy a weekend ticket today rather than just the Saturday.....just in case ;) )

    There has been no tour announcements from Prince recently although his NPGmusicclub will be starting up again over the next few weeks.

    Prince is rubbish. Wouldnt want the punk there.

    Whats with their web site? It's been down since last night. Probably because they're running IIS. :mad:

    Manic Street Preachers have been confirmed....although not as Headliners. The Sunday headliner is still to be announced...interesting.

    I really don't understand why they're allowed to sell tickets for it before they tell you what you're paying for.
