A guy asked me to get extra RAM for his PC, but I don't know what type he's got at the moment.
How do you tell if it's SDRAM or DDR RAM?
    Cheers.

Count the pins on his current ram.
    168 pins = sdram
    184 pins = ddr

    another way doing it:

SDRAM - 2 notches in stick
DDR SDRAM - 1 notch in stick

If you go to crucial.com and go to memory upgrades on the lefthand side it will show you the ram thats compatable with motherboard and system manafactures. v.handy
